Invite a Friend to Church

Pastors work their butts off to build up the body of Christ. From writing sermons, to community outreach, to tending to the flock, they are always busy. Sometimes they need our help to fill up the ranks. It is perfectly normal; it is also our job to help build the church.

Usually, we are asked to invite a friend to church. We all know people that don’t know the Lord. The idea is that they come to church, hear the Gospel, and become a Christian.

That doesn’t always work. A lot of churches don’t have a Gospel message every Sunday. The pews are filled with believers, and the pastor is busy leading them in their daily walk with God. Plus, it just puts more work on the pastor’s plate. What your actions are saying is, here is my buddy. Can YOU lead them to the Lord?

What should we do? We should develop a relationship with them that allows them to see Christ in us. Eventually we will have an opportunity to lead them to Jesus. They will give their life to Christ and will join the ranks of Christians the world over. And just like that, you know a Christian that doesn’t have a home church. Invite them to join you at your church and watch the body of Christ grow.

I’m sure your pastor will appreciate it.
